School CEO, Hayley Jarick, was appointed as an independent member of the ResponsibleSteel™ Board of Directors in July 2021.
“It has been a while since I have worked in the steel industry but my passion for making the sector more sustainable has not diminished,” said newly appointed ResponsibleSteel™ Independent Non-Executive Director, Hayley Jarick. “I remember when this scheme was an idea I used to chat about with Ross Davies, rest his soul, not as a silver bullet but as one pellet in buckshot aimed at improving the sustainability of the global steel industry. I am honoured to join the Board at the start of an exciting new chapter following the first certification being awarded to four steelmaking sites in Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg owned by ArcelorMittal.”
