Australian Passive House Association

Website

The Australian Passive House Association (APHA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation which aims to promote Passive House principles as a way of providing superior indoor comfort and air quality while reducing energy use and carbon emissions from Australia’s buildings.

Education is at the forefront of what we do; our aim is to educate and inform building and design professionals on the benefits of Passive House. Passive House construction ensures a long, durable building life that requires light-filled spaces and high levels of comfort. Combined with extraordinary low heating/cooling bills and excellent indoor air quality, Passive House buildings also provide a major opportunity to reduce your carbon footprint.

“As the demand for healthy comfortable and low energy homes increases in Australia, we need to build capacity to support the burgeoning green economy. Partnering with like-minded organisations will help us build the right type of capacity amongst practitioners to meet the market demand, delivering superior indoor environments for all Australians.”
